Since 1989, Slam Jam has been a creative incubator and cultural hub for the underground scene long before the term “streetwear” was even created. An iconic institution that has introduced several popular clothing lines– such as Stussy, Alyx and Carhartt WIP – into the European fashion market, evolving into the global retail platform that it is today.

After three decades of being the archetype of urban subculture, Slam Jam has announced the launch of its first-ever solo product project. (Un)corporate Uniforms symbolizes the dream of a counter-culture that started over thirty years ago, with Luca Benini in a small warehouse on the rural outskirts of Ferrara.

The new icon, coming with Slam Jam’s new global expression conceived and developed alongside Paris-based creative direction and consultancy practice Ill-Studio, is made up of an upside down capital A inscribed in a dashed circle. The mathematical meaning "for all" gets a perimeter that constantly evolves thanks to influences and energies coming from the outside, maintaining an eclectic and selective attitude. This describes Slam Jam’s path and direction, where evolution thanks to research and collaborations give the entity its pace. It's the icon of an independent voice.

Part of Slam Jam’s global expression is their first-ever solo product project. (Un)corporate Uniforms, an ongoing research project to understand and help define the concept of uniform. The distinctive clothing is meant to be worn by members of the same group in order to unite and stand out against others. On December 22nd Slam Jam will launch its first of many sets of uniform prototypes through uniforms.slamjam.com. More information can also be found on their social media.

Slam Jam stands as an ambassador of a cultural wave, to unite shared values amongst the chaos, keeping to connect tribes of like-minded people across the world. Slam Jam is born.
