Piero Sciaudone Captures Asian Workers

Piero Sciaudone is a 2nd year China MIM student, whose path, entirely by accident, led him to Asia. After his mobile phone exploded in Vietnam he went out to buy a new one, and to everyone's surprise, he ended up purchasing a reflex camera. That is how his photography journey began, and he hasn't stopped capturing his travels ever since. The humans in the photographs below were photographed over a two-year period in China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Burma and Thailand.

" No matter how people feel about it, Asia's prominent role within global balances is a fact. Of course this state of the world did not just occur overnight, but was rather the result of years of State planning and coordination. Needless to say, every state has adopted its own path to emancipation. And yet what ties together the whole of them is the employment and commitment of millions of units/armies of workers, whose very resilience, abnegation, persistence are inherent in Asian work culture and necessary condition for collective achievement.

Below, a molecular fraction of that army is depicted, but the whole of it is represented."
